Appreciating Autism Book Series
Autism is unpredictable, varying from person to person and case to case. But one thing that is certain is that any family who has been directly affected by it has their own powerful and often moving story to share. And we want to hear yours. In 1000 words or less, tell us what your experience has been – from highs to l...ows and everything in between…well, everything within 1000 words!
Your submission will be considered for use in upcoming publications and promotions in the Appreciating Autism series. The top five stories will also receive autographed copies of the first book in the series, Unique as Pete: How Autism Doesn’t Mean Different, which is available at AuthorHouse.com or at your favorite book retailer (if they don’t have any available, be sure to ask the store to order some). So send us your story. We want to hear it. And stay in touch by visiting us at AppreciatingAutism.com.
Send all submissions to pr@creative-underground.net.
Be sure to include your first and last name and your mailing address.
You may include a photo with your submission.
Submission deadline is October 1, 2008.
What's Your Story Contest Disclaimer: If your work is accepted, you will receive an email to the address you provide. The work that is accepted remains part of the Appreciating Autism's online archive system for readers to access in the future and has the potential to be used in an upcoming book. We are granted electronic and one-time publishing rights. All other rights revert to the writer after publication. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any financial compensation for published work at this time.Read More
