North Coast Adventure Centers This course is designed to prepare you to work in a rock climbing gym. You learn all aspects of gym management and operations including: customer service, teaching techniques, safety, top roping and belay in the gym, auto belays, liability issues, memberships, handling payments, shoe rentals, dealing with customer con...flicts, kids in the gym and much more. We show you how to set up a portable rock wall including site considerations and crowd management. We explore how to use a portable rock wall as both a piece of recreational equipment and an element in an experiential program. You acquire techniques to help the new climber and tricks to challenge the advanced climber.
