I am self-employed as an online media strategist, providing strategies and tips to business and government leaders. Through consulting and speaking, I stress the benefits of social media, interactive marketing, and online branding.

I moved to Newburyport in September 2007 for a position as assistant chief administrative officer in Mayor John Moak's office.
Among other accomplishments, I facilitated the creation of the mayoral energy advisory committee; recommended or implemented policy in health insurance, transportation, and economic development; and represented the mayor on numerous boards, including the Commission on Diversity & Tolerance, Local Emergency Planning Committee, School Committee’s Revenue Task Force, and the Merrimack Valley Regional Transportation Authority Board.
Earlier in my career, I was a project manager and special assistant to the Massachusetts Secretary of Economic Development; and worked in both community journalism and information technology.
Since my departure from the city's employ, I've remained active in civic affairs--from the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce's resident advisory council to co-chairing the 2009 Earth Day celebration.
