Megan McBride Dear Ari,
I miss you so much. Just so you know I thoroughly enjoy reading your status, of course yours are about the government and not a song lyric. I hope your life is fabulous! I haven't forgotten you and I hope that one day we can meet again!

Ari Shroyer-Stokes is amused by the clashes between radical protestors and greedy world leaders at the Copenhagen Summit. I’m not sure who’s side I’d even be on. The former have no knowledge about the truth, or lack thereof behind this climate change myth, and the latter know the falsities quite well, yet only extort them for their own p...ersonal gain. I just hope President Obama sets them straight upon his arrival.

I agree with your every point, except for the word "myth." Obama (or anyone else) can't set them straight. Most of them have a commercial or economic interest in maintaining the status quo. It's not much of an American problem. It's more of a Chinese and Indian issue. Both of those large nations are seeking (and achieving) rapid economic growth... See More, ... See Moreand, for them, at least, the ozone layer is secondary at this point. I don't endorse, but I do understand. The protesters (who are not completely informed, but very idealistic) want the West to take the lead. Even allowing for some corrupt industrialists, we have taken the lead, all along.

Ari Shroyer-Stokes is in the last week with the Executive Board 0f 2009. During which I persevered executive authority and fought unnecessary governmental expansion during the constitution commission’s markup and lead, as well as won in the effort against another useless and controversial resolution on Tuesday. Now dinner with the Dean o...f Art’s & Sciences tonight. We're still working for you!

"Governmental expansion--" is that some type of euphemism meaning actually caring for those who need it? Your bag of buzzwords is filled and ready!

Haha. You would be surprised at what a few of my colleagues are trying to do. They are slowly pushing to make SGA master of both events and fund allocation, as well as student advocacy. Just a few years ago, we split these up...allowing sub-groups to handle these two former issues, so we could focus on simply advocacy...but they are no doubt power-... See Morehungry, and want to have as much control over students as possible. I find that move unwise and unrealistic. Though I am not surprised, as one of them is head of College Democrats, and would love to have power over their funding. Ha, over my dead body!

Thank you Bob!! : )

Ari Shroyer-Stokes is conceding the race for the Vice-Presidency in RU’s SGA. It was a good run, and I cannot wait to join with the victors in making our school the best it can be. Even though I will not be serving in the VP seat, know I will humbly lead the loyal opposition in the senate. Thank you all for your support!

Ari Shroyer-Stokes has lost a true friend & colleague. Gary Fan, of South Carolina, was an inspiringly kind & gracious young man. With his heartfelt encouragement, Gary warmed my soul after ever conversation. There is no doubt he would have accomplished great things had his life not been so premature. May his name serve as a remembrance ...for the noble & compassionate integrity he exemplified, for myself & those he encountered.

Ari Shroyer-Stokes In my excursion to the Illinois capital of Springfield, I met with various legislators on the issue of the MAP Grant, and the funding there of, which supports a vast number of my Roosevelt constituency, along with thousands of other students across the state.

The following video is a small statement on the progress whi...ch was made, the necessity of the issue, and a call for the future.
