Arizona Gourds Had a great time at our local gourd patch meeting tonight. It was a holiday party - early, since we don't meet again until after Christmas. We had tons and tons of great food and door prizes. Almost everyone won something! The tree with our donated gourd ornaments was on display for the evening and everyone enjoyed seeing it all lit up.

Arizona Gourds Had a great weekend with Indiana gourders (plus a few from Ohio and Michigan as well). Here's a photo of the class at the end of our third day of classes. What a fun group!!

Arizona Gourds I should be doing other things right now, but decided this gourd needed me more. :) I added some carving and a couple more pieces of coral. It's not a drastic change, but I think it improved the piece. It's fun to play with new ideas.

Arizona Gourds Thanks for all the comments on the engraved glass. I am going to try some more of this and will eventually put them on the website. I'll try some bigger pieces next time - it's fun playing with different kinds of stuff. I think they'll make nice jewelry if they are wirewrapped or if one of the glue on bails is attached.

Arizona Gourds I just found a supplier for a small size inverted cone bur. The new burs are 5mm in diameter (1/8" shank) and are good for getting into tighter areas. These burs are already on the carving burs page. If you order one in the next three days, I'll include a free bur cleaning brush or a couple of assorted diamond burs ...with your order.
