Gene Chieffo I thoroughly enjoyed Salome last night. The orchestra sounded fantastic; strings soared, the brass - wow. Compliments to Neal for his oboe solos in the Dance ... contra bassoon, woodwinds!!! It was intense, for sure ... the immediate applause after they 'done in' Salome broke the spell - for me!

Arizona Opera Orchestra Musicians Association Out of the Pit II: Musicians of the Arizona Opera Orchestra, Sun. Nov. 1 at 4:00 PM, present a concert of chamber music at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 N. 10th St, Phoenix, 85020. FREE.
