The Hartley Family A new CD is NOT in the making, but it is in the thinking! Any song requests? We're trying to keep with old songs, preferably traditional ones, plus songs written by family members.

So now to talk Abby into the laborious process of trying to get "Muleskinner Blues" recorded in decent form . . . :)

Hi Hartley Family,
My husband and I saw you in Rose,NY and I told you we would see you at the park on Labor day [forget now which one but up near Rochester] anyway circumstances prevented us from making that date but I listen to your CD when I am in the car and love it, think of you then. Hope to see you when you are in NY again.

The Hartley Family All MN performances finished. This weekend: Family Music Festival at Lake Itasca. We'll be helping out there. If you can make it, it'll be a great place to be!

Lake Itasca Family Music Festival is the area's best family festival. Next door to Itasca State Park and the headwaters to the Mississippi River! See you there!
Jim Childers

Jim Childers Made it to Thomastown Church last night to catch your performance, and it was great. I have to say though, the last song, when Abby sang Mule Skinner Blues, made my hair stand on end. It's been one of my all time favorite songs forever and Abby's rendition was absolutely fantastic. What a voice on that little gal! ...I had seen the You tube video of it before going to the performance last night and was just elated when Tom said they were going to do it. Totally awesome!
