The JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) Sales Centre is now the venue to the best comedy in Dubai. During the Whole Dubai Shopping Festival, the only place where COMEDY and CAFE Meet!
The debut of the Comedy Cafe will be held in Dubai, UAE at the exquisite and picturesque Jumeirah Beach Residence during the dazzling Dubai Sh...opping Festival from January 24th 2009 till 14th February 2009 and will feature several stand up comedians from the US, Canada and the Middle East.
Internationally known comedian Aron Kader will host the event throughout the month.
The Comedy Café will be open every night and throughout the week open mike sessions will offer the perfect platform for up and coming amateur comedians who want to take to the stage and showcase their talent to the world. Aron Kader himself will be presenting them to the public every night.
Also every Saturday there will be main shows headlined by renowned hilarious and witty artists such as Dean Obeidallah, Sugar Sammy, Mike Batayah, Peter The Persian and the grand finale with Aron himself.
This festival will soon become a tradition in Dubai showcasing the top comedic talent from around the world.
This event is bought to you by Dubai Shopping Festival 2009 and the Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence and organized by Sundance events.

The Dean of Comedy is the co-founder of highly-acclaimed New York Arab-American Comedy Festival,the first of its kind which has received national and international media coverage.
Dean has also been featured on numerous national and international television programs including Comedy Central's "Axis of Evil" special and "The Watch List,", ABC's The View, "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen," PBS' Newshour with Jim Lehrer, ABC's 20/20, CNN's "Inside the Middle East" and Japan's NHK.

Voted as the Number 1 comedian in Montreal by readers of the Montreal Mirror, as well as winning Best of Show for the Just For Laughs Festival, Sammy has performed in the US, England, Ireland, Holland, Hong Kong, Thailand, Dubai, the Philippines and South Africa. Sammy has also appeared on The Comedy Network, Canada's CTV, and a Dutch television network. He has become a staple at the Montreal International Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs.

Mike Batayeh is a native of Detroit, Michigan who is of Jordanian descent. Mike, a comedian, actor and writer who resides in California performs regularly all around the US including venues as the Laugh Factory, the Comedy Store the L.A. Improv and the Icehouse. He has guest starred in numerous telvision shows including, "The Shield", "Everybody Loves Raymond", "JAG", "Life" and a recurring role in the Showtime critically acclaimed series, "Sleeper Cell".
The Iranian sensation, Peter the Persian, the comediologist will be bringing his humor to the Middle East.

Aron is a founding member of "The Axis Of Evil Comedy Tour," the world renound stand up comedy trio that toured world wide and have appeared in 2006 on Comedy Central and it was the first time that middle-eastern comedians appeared together with that theme, starting a movement in the community to fight stereotypes using humor.
He has been seen on Comedy Central’s "Premium Blend," the Television cop drama, "The Shield," and has been featured in the The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek magazine, and many other national publications.
