Paul Haggis, award-winning filmmaker (CRASH, Million Dollar Baby etc.) travelled to Haiti to research a film on poverty.
While there, he came to understand and appreciate the Haitian spirit and creativity amidst absolute poverty. He realized that art is the Haitian peoples' Intellectual Property and only hope of lifting... themselves out of poverty.
Paul became a co-founder of BRANDAID Project - an innovative hybrid for and not-for-proft enterprise.
Through BRANDAID Project, people everywhere can infuse their decor with the beauty of stunning art and stories of humnaity while helping developing world artisans turn poverty into prosperity.
This album shows photos of Paul's return trip to Haiti, a fundraising party he held, the Vanity Fair/DIOR BRANDAID Project party held during Oscar week, his trip to MIlan in support of the master artisans and some images of Croix des Bouquets art in his Monterrey home.
