SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17
Join Art Saint Louis for our 3rd annual Hops Art event held this year on Saturday, October 17, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. in the Art Saint Louis Gallery. Hops Art is a totally unique event that combines an art exhibition, a digital image presentation, delicious beer & food, and great people.
Fo...r this year's Hops Art 2009, Art Saint Louis member artists are invited to participate in the following:
Hops Art Digital Image Show: Each artist may submit up to 5 images for the Image Show with digital images sent as jpegs (RGB color; 300 dpi; min. 800x800 pixels, not to exceed 1600x1600 pixels; save to one CD readable on both Mac & PC). Guests at the event will be able to view your digital images via presentations on several computers placed throughout the Gallery as well as in a presentation projected on a Gallery wall. Deadline for submitting images for the Image Show is October 10, 2009.
Hops Art Exhibition: Each artist may submit 1 artwork for exhibition at our one-night-only Hops Art Exhibition. 2-d work requirements: size limits--not to exceed 30"(w)x72"(h), including frame. Work must be framed, wired & ready for installation. 3-d artwork requirements: size limits--not to exceed 20 lbs. NO installation-based work, no ceiling installed work, no works that rely on use of the internet for display. Artists in the Hops Art Exhibition are required to attend the event. Artists participating in the Exhibition, must e-mail jpeg of the specific artwork they will be exhibiting to christine@artstlouis.org by September 18, 2009. Deadline for participation in the Hops Art Exhibition is September 18, 2009.
Delivery/Pick-up of Exhibited Works: All artworks submitted for the Hops Art Exhibition are to be delivered to the ASL Gallery on October 9 or 10, 2009, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. All exhibited artworks must be pick-up by artist at the end of the event, October 17 (9-10 p.m.) or the following week of October 20-24, 2009, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Participation/Event Registration: Artist participation is $30. This fee covers inclusion of ONE artwork in the Hops Art Exhibition, up to five images for the Hops Art Digital Image Show, and ONE non-transferable ticket. The fee for artists who are unable to attend Hops Art but would like to participate in the Digital Image Show is $20.
