New item update in: Wood Boxes

I've been promising to make more of these for AGES and now finally they're here! Limited edition wood box handbags:



The stamping in the centre is a Baroque rendering of the Greek god of love, Eros (cute, no?). The inside is lined with red felt and features an oval mirror edged in black cord. If that wasn't enough, how about some black wrought iron-look hinges on the bottom, a silvertone latch, and an ornate silvertone metal handle?



Think that maybe these don't take much time to make? Wrong - there's 3 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear varnish, plus the industrial adhesive to hold the stampings on, the glue to attach the felt on the inside, and the silicone adhesive to attach the mirror, each of which takes a full day to dry (that's 8 days, not including the first day to sand and fill any imperfections). Thats' why I don't make these very often - they take up a lot of time and workspace. :P
