wow, so glad to have seen my friend Mindy become a fan. I have gone thru all kinds of tests and just had a discogram that said Arthritis is causing me most of my pain. I also have a benign hemangioma and degenerative disk disease. I am supposed to get a shot in my back for pain. I am on morphine and hydrocodone 3x's a ...day now and still in pain. My grandmother had RA and the Drs havent said 4 sure if that is what I have but I am thinking so. I used to be 5'8 and just went to the doc the other day and I am 5'6 3/4! I cant believe I am shrinking :(Read More

Stephanie Wanted to say Hi to all the young crowd out there with RA! I know what its like to feel as if you are in a 90 year olds body and how no one else understands. Let me know if you need a support bud! I'm from NJ and have RA in my feet where I can't even walk some days. Currently on methotrexate, predisone, folic acid.

Someone help me, I'm 52 years old and work part-time and need info on how I'm suppose to live with a bad left hip. I was a route salesman for several companies and work long hours years ago and didn't mind walking several miles a day for my job. Just this summer I went to the doctor and found out that my left hip has b...een deteriorating for the last couple of years and thats why I've been limping for the last five years. I"m over weight and can hardly loose weight since I'm older and used to be 'bout 180 pounds but since I'm older I can't seem to loose weight like I use to. The doctor said last June that it wouldn't be a good ideal to do a hip replacement cause it wouldn't last very long due to my weight. I became disabled in 1997 for other reasons and have just learned this last summer and didn't work from 1997 to 2002. it's been real hard adjusting from a very fulfilled life to becoming disabled. dmk4800@yahoo.comRead More

Well here I am 3 yrs later and so glad I had surgery but on the down side my left hip is bad and in need of replacement but I am not working so I dont hurt as bad. I have tried to claim disability since all my drs say I cannot hold down any kind of job due to other joints in my body being "bad" as well but was denied. Danny, I lost 15 pounds with the 5factordiet.com I feel so much better. For one thing, I feel better now that sugar and bread (and cookies) are no longer in my diet. I can tell a difference in the RA. The diet combined five meals with smaller portions/calories and exercise. A little exercising every day. It is all mapped out for you online. There ...
