Artists For Humanity
Drew Barrymore, in town to promote her directorial debut film, WHIP IT, will meet with local teens and college students at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter. She will hand out posters from the film and take photos with fans. Inspired by the film, roller derby girls from area teams will also be present. Grand prize win...ners will receive tickets to that evening’s screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with the actor.
ABOUT WHIP IT:
WHIP IT, the directorial debut of Drew Barrymore, stars Ellen Page as Bliss, a rebellious Texas teen who throws in her small town beauty pageant crown for the rowdy world of roller derby. Marcia Gay Harden plays Bliss’ disapproving mother, while Drew Barrymore, Kristen Wiig and Juliette Lewis play roller-derby stars.
WHIP IT opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, October 2nd.
