Wayland Radio On Thursday the 26th November 2009 we will have been on-air for three months! A facinating fact from Wayland Radio!

Wayland Radio If you've not already, you must soon... The new website was published today. We need you feedback, although it works well on the developers PC there might be things that don't on your computer so let us know so that we can repair or make good. It is published as a beta version and not the final. Chech it out - http://www.waylandradio.com

Wayland Radio I can't believe it is almost a month since the last post... we must have been busy? We're still getting loads of positive feedback, thank you. A new website will be with you soon, it looks very impressive and just needs a few team photos to add to the gallery before being uploaded for public viewing. We're tackling st...andards at present and reviewing programme content to improve an already great service.

Wayland Radio Updated audio stream... Now provided by istream from TransplanUK

Wayland Radio With 28 days behind us, it's no longer an RSL but the real thing. Only 1797 to go and we've had a great start with a huge support from listeners already.

Wayland Radio It has been very busy at Wayland Radio since the last post. We've had an increase in volunteer interest since we're now on-air with a stronger signal and greater reach. Feedback is still very very positive. Programme wise we have a few 'finger' problems still. On the technical side we're installing a more robust serve...r to manager our data, this is for security and backup.

Wayland Radio Oh... if you live within our transmission area around of Swaffham and Watton and you'd like to get involved call us on 01760 441161 or email studio@waylandradio.com

Wayland Radio We've had a fantastic response from listeners far and wide... that's the power of good transmission system! Tell us what you think of what we're doing bearing in mind it is very early days and it take time to settle in to a good routine.

Wayland Radio Bank Holiday Monday and the first weekend is almost over! We've had the odd teething problem; software issues and presenters not remembering what buttons to push... more training on the cards for some then! Overall a good start to the five year licence and some great feedback already! There's a few things still to d...o like the website, it needs a make over as it was never intended to be our window to the world!

Wayland Radio So this is it then... David Hatherly, our first voice on the all new 107.3 Wayland Radio, is already on station and getting ready for the 07:00 start. Then we've got Susie Hancock, Classic Gold, Mike Wing, Steve Jolly, Out Turn and much more to come in the next five years and beyond! Enjoy.

Wayland Radio Oh, what a day... busy, busy busy. Last minute tweaks here and there. It all seems to be coming together. Tomorrow is another day as they say and it's a big one for us.

Wayland Radio Technically, the satellite dish needs moving (again) so that we can receive IRN/SKY Radio News, wiring needs tiding up under Studio 1's desk and we really need to protect our data, so the Microsoft SBS 2003 server we have acquired recently needs installing and configuring urgently. Not much time left to do all this but... it will be done. Oh... and there's a few adverts to ingest into the system as well!

Wayland Radio We're on the final countdown to start broadcasting. Ofcom yesterday, playlists today, soft launch 07:00 tomorrow morning. There's still plenty of things to be done today, not only the playlist, but we've got to add some more music to the system in areas where we're lacking music types (Classical, faith, 1970's, etc.) a...nd a few technical bits to tidy up.

Wayland Radio Ian from TransplanUK has been here too. He's just finishing off some of the cables for the other antenna on the mast fopr our stand-by and OB link.
