I took a CS200 class online with Kevin Sahr and I was impressed. He had recorded his own lecture modules and labs which were easy to understand and perform. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants an easy intro into java programming.

I am currently taking CS210 with Joe Caron who is very knowledgeable in the web development field and has ... See Moredirect experience with real world applications. He knows how to keep a class entertained even if most of the students are not CS majors.

If you want more info just shoot me a msg =)

I would not recommend taking CS 200 or 210 if you are not a Computer Science major and I am saying that as someone who just graduated from SOU with a Computer Science degree.

CS 200 is learning how to program in Java as the person above me said. Programming is very difficult and is not something that a lot of people can learn easily so I wouldn't... See More recommend this course unless you are taking it with Kevin Sahr. I did not take it with him I took it with Pete Nordquist and it was not a very good class because he does not teach it in a way that people with little to no programming experience can understand. He went very fast and most of my class was lost after the third week. I think Tim Morton may also do a good job at teaching this class. I had him for a 400 level CS class last Spring that was not programming related and he was a good teacher. But I am not sure how he is for programming but I know he cares about his students so you may want to take it with him if you really need to take CS 200.

As for CS 210 if Joe Caron is teaching the class next term then take it. If it is being taught by Randall Roos avoid it entirely.
