This is the first of five new songs written and recorded during my five months here in Rwanda. The footage is from previous trips. Nothing fancy -- just thought it might be better to hear the new song along with seeing clips of Rwanda.

Ashley Jones will hopefully finish up the last bit of recording today with a children's choir here in Kigali :)

Ashley Jones enjoyed a private concert from the Asanti Children's Choir this morning. It was incredible! Read more: www.ashleyjonesmusic.com/rwanda

Ashley Jones is less than a week away from four finished songs from the Ubuntu Studio here in Rwanda. Granted that's not factoring in African Time, but I'm still hopeful!

Ashley Jones is recording w/ a producer who speaks very little English. I speak very little of anything else. So I blogged about it: http://ashleyjonesmusic.com/rwanda

When I decided to come to Rwanda for six months, I thought for sure I’d be spending a significant amount of that time in the village, in Nyamagabe. That’s where my sponsored children are, where I spent most of my time on previous trips, and where I initially fell in love with this place. ...

Ashley Jones is back in the studio today working on song #2 here in Rwanda, "More Than War"

David Collins
Ashley, I became friends with Scott a couple of months ago via my friend David Kamanzi who attends the NUR. My friend Kemmica Green (Kem) told me about your blog earlier today. Last year I spent two months in Rwanda and out of that experience I launched "The Trees of Hope Fund." Join our group on Facebook to learn more... & spread the word. (Note: I saw the same hope you saw in the eyes of the children.) Hope to meet you one of these days...Blessings, David CollinsRead More

Ashley I have checked out your blog while doing some research on Rwanda for a mission trip I am leading this summer. Turns out that we have some "6 degrees of seperation" going on, turns out that the point man for our missionary is Scott! Our missionary's name is David Collins and he is the founder of Trees of Hope, ...we will be coming to work with the farmers, widows and orphans but right now we are working on fundraising and awareness for Trees of Hope. We would like to plan a concert on-campus (oh by the way I attend Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas) and we would love it if you were apart of that, please let me know if you would be interested in bringing awareness to this cause and the precious people of Rwanda.Read More
