PRE-EVENT GOODY BAG ASSEMBLING
Saturday, December 26 12:00-4:00 P.M., at the St. Regis
Includes stuffing party favors in decorative bags for all attendees of the eve...nt. Bags are handed out at the event as patrons leave. Bags usually consist of perfumes, gifts, etc.
PRE-EVENT DECORATION AND DISPLAY
Monday, December 28, 9:00-1:00 A.M., at the St. Regis
Assist auction coordinator with artfully displaying donated items for the silent auction.
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN
Monday, December 28, 3:15-7:15 P.M., at the St. Regis
Sign in all volunteers, handout volunteer nametags, and direct volunteers to posts. Confirm mailing address and phone numbers for all volunteers. It is very important to be on time.
GUEST REGISTRATION
Monday, December 28, 3:30-7:30 P.M., at the St. Regis
Volunteers assist museum staff with guest sign in, nametags, and registering bidder numbers.
MODEL DRESSERS
Monday, December 28, 5:00-8:00 P.M., at the St. Regis
Dressers arrive before the event to check-in and find fashion show coordinator Shannon Davidson backstage for special instructions. During the fashion show, dressers help models change outfits and re-hang clothing.
SILENT AUCTION VOLUNTEERS
Monday, December 28, 3:30-8:00 P.M., at the St. Regis
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable people needed to assist with the silent auction. This involves talking with the guests and promoting a fun and generous attitude. Volunteers are assigned to a specific area for the duration of the silent auction to watch over the items and assist bidders. After the silent auction closes, volunteers package and put away items, then may break to enjoy the fashion show, standing room only. After the fashion show, volunteers assist with checkout, retrieving sold items to give to the buyer at the time of payment.
LIVE AUCTION SPOTTERS
Monday, December 28, 5:00-8:00 P.M., at the St. Regis
Spotters point out bidders during live auction for the auctioneer, write down paddle numbers, and locate winners when a live auction item has been sold. Spotters then give this information to the auction processors to be immediately processed. Previous auction experience is helpful.
AUCTION PROCESSING/CASHIERS
Monday, December 28, 5:00-8:00 P.M., at the St. Regis
Job involves assisting auction processor Dara Coder with posting silent and live auction winners on boards once silent auction closes, processing payments, and collecting payments for auction items as the fashion show ends and people exit the ballroom.
POST AUCTION HELP
Monday, December 28, 7:30-10:00 P.M., at the St. Regis and AAM
Volunteers are needed to bring auction items and event objects back to the AAM from the St. Regis, includes general clean up of event.
**Please note that volunteers are asked not to consume alcohol
during their volunteer hours but are given special gift bags for the invaluable support.
