Asra Q. Nomani "Standing Alone: An American Woman's Struggle for the Soul of Islam" chronicles the struggle for women's rights and tolerance in mosques, as captured in "The Mosque in Morgantown."

The original Washington Post opinion piece, "Going Where I Know I Belong," argued mosques are "men's clubs." It can be read at "Writings."

The woman from Saudi Arabia (I think) was so annoying. Who does she think she is saying how women of a certain age bracket think with their bodies and not with their head? You can't judge how someone feels.

A great debate Asra, thanks for your voice and courage to speak up for women's rights. I don't believe in "Muslims"narrow version of Islam, because, these include man-made Laws of God so called "unanimous consensus" in muslims. When it came to women rights how come muslim women were not important eough to be a part of that unanimous consensus. Was that not women's right in Islam to express their opinion and be heard those days?
