Little Five Points Music Center No community music school in the Deep South is complete without bluegrass, folk, fiddling, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, etc... We're celebrating the launch of our Traditional Music Program with a free concert this Saturday by Progam Director Leah Calvert and her bluegrass band, the Dappled Grays. Decatur Music Center, 4pm, free.

The fun starts at 2 pm in Little 5. That's when the music starts and cupcakes arrive. Some other highlights: at 2pm high school students go make giant skeleton puppets to lead the parade; at 4 pm the parade down Euclid and Moreland kicks off with Alec and Camille playing intense drum and bass covers of Lightning Bol...t tunes on our float; the first ever Halloween Pumpkin Drop is set for 6 pm at the Music Center, about the time a really scary witch performs Henry Cowell's solo piano work "The Banshee."
