Everyone is invited to participate in our Postcard Pinup Show - and if you don't want to participate, you should still come see some great art, hear some music and have some drinks. There will also be raffle prizes! Party on.
See below for submission guidelines and info:
Artists must hand deliver their work to the MI...NT Gallery on Friday, December 11th between 7 and 9 p.m. or on Saturday, December 12th between 1 and 3 p.m. Artists may submit up to 4 pieces but none may exceed 4" x 6" and they must be delivered unframed and unmatted. Artists can price their work individually or as a series to be sold as a set. However no individual piece may be priced over $50 and no series may be priced over $125. Artists must agree to donate 40%, 60% or 100% of the selling price to MINT. Those who chose to donate 100% will be recognized and honored at the show. Unsold artwork may be picked up on Sunday, December 13th between 3 and 6 p.m. The required application/release form is available at the drop off or via email from mint@mintgallery.org.

Our 3rd annual mixtape exhibit featuring work from numerous Atlanta artists including Bean Summer, Jason Kofke, Kelly McKernan, Chris Hamer, GutterPOP, Jason Travis, Sergio Garzon, Travis Thatcher, and more.
Each artist will create a mixtape to be played alongside their artwork. Come and enjoy the music and have a drink. And meet someone attractive.

On Saturday, July 25th, MINT and WonderRoot are teaming up for a music and art event to raise money for MINT and their continuing efforts to enrich the community through art. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the evening will include music, a closing reception for the artwork, and refreshments. The cover will be $5

The Plastic Aztecs present: The Intergalactic Strongthang Competition (ISC). The ISC is an event that is organized every century by the Intergalactic Federation of Amateur Strongthangs (IFAS) to celebrate strength and unity. It has a number of competitions suited to contenders from all galaxies and aims to award one ...lucky contender "The Strongthang" title and key to the universe.
The Plastic Aztecs are Dorothy Stucki, Becky Furey, and Andrea Sanders a collaboration of artists that met while attending school and talking on the steps between classes. Through working together, the Plastic Aztecs hope to build stronger work and community, and develop partnerships with other artists to create bigger ideas.

Announcing the Gather Atlanta first annual emerging creatives conference, to be held Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery.
This is your chance to learn how to become more involved! Whether you'd like to submit artwork, volunteer, take a workshop, etc. this is the place to be.
Gather Atlanta is an ann...ual networking event presented by MINT, BurnAway.org, WonderRoot, and ThoughtMarker that seeks to:
Unite and promote Atlanta’s emerging galleries, alternative art spaces, and young creative collectives
Improve collaboration between Atlanta’s disparate arts organizations
Embrace a community traditionally separated by Atlanta geography or differences in artistic identity
Provide a forum for creative discourse, fresh ideas, and for sharing resources
Gather Atlanta will feature:
A public discussion panel featuring leading voices in Atlanta arts and from Atlanta’s most successful alternative groups
Informational displays representing approximately two dozen galleries, cooperatives, and creative collectives
Food and refreshments provided by our sponsors

MINT Each year MINT gives over 15 artists a blank window to use as a canvas. This year we have artists from a wide range of backgrounds displaying their window pieces for one night only. Artwork will be sold via silent auction with prices starting as low as $30. There will also be drinks and refreshments. Don't miss it!

From April 4th to April 19th, MINT Gallery will be showcasing an unusual gallery of artwork featuring pieces by a range of artists from all over the country. Each piece being featured is based around their mutual love of cult films and is either inspired by or pays direct homage to a specific film.
The show will feature... original pieces created in a variety of mediums ranging from photography and painting to needlepoint and sculpture. Contributors will include several Atlanta-based artists as well as showcase works by new and talented artists from Seattle, Los Angeles, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland.

LEAP is our interactive art exhibit in which the patrons are the artists.
At 8 pm, the gallery walls will begin the evening filled with blank canvases. Over the course of the one night exhibit, guests are invited to participate by contributing to the art with provided supplies. At any point in the evening, the evolv...ing artwork may be purchased for a previously determined price. The purpose of this exhibit is further MINT’s mission to provide a networking conduit for artists and to facilitate creativity within Atlanta’s art community.

The artists selected to participate in "Details" were hand picked based on their intricate line work and detailed compositions. However, the concepts and work presented in this exhibition go beyond the realm of illustration and extend outside the confines of the paper or canvas . With "Details" MINT Gallery brings toge...ther four emerging artists whose diverse backgrounds and styles are tied together by imaginative execution that will include objects, installations, prints, projections, and performance. With subjects that extend from early video games to the Challenger explosion and influences from skateboarding to portraiture, a broad slice of contemporary culture will be examined while simultaneously peering into the future of Atlanta's emerging art scene.
