People TV is now accepting project proposals for this year’s Sidewalk Stories community documentary. This project is an opportunity for neighborhoods in Atlanta and Fulton County to receive access to equipment, video production training and support from experienced People TV production staff to document stor...ies about neighborhood history and community development initiatives.
People TV’s Department of Community Development is currently reaching out to partner with neighborhood associations, historical groups and civic leaders to identify and document untold stories about our local communities. Please see attachments for more details about this project and the proposal form that should be completed and submitted by October 23 if your community has an interest to participate.

City Utility Committee
For those people planning to speak, arrive before 6pm and sign the "Speaker list" in the Council Chamber.
Here is what we need from as many people as possible:
1) Attend the meeting
2) Sign up to speak (generally, comments not more than 2 minutes)
3) Thank them for the hearing and the opportunity t...o speak
4) Speak on behalf of Ordinance 09-0-1223 and ask that the Utility Committee to vote in favor of the ordinance - to allow the Mayor to enter into a franchise agreement with Comcast.
5) Ask Upon approval of Ordinance 09-0-1223 to also vote in favor of Resolution 09-R-1232 to allow the Mayor to enter into a contract with People TV.
6) Ask the Utility Committee to provide for the public interest and introduce legislation for future budgets that will provide additional money to be dedicated for People TV and the City Channel.
7) Additionally, many of these Council People are on the Finance Committee and ask that they vote yes in the Finance Committee on Ordinance 09-0-1222 to accept the definition of gross revenue but to amend the legislation to stipulate that with the new definition of gross revenue that A PORTION of ANY NEW FOUND MONEY be dedicated for the purposes of People TV.
8) And Ask the Finance Committee to vote yes to ordinance 09-0-1220 to approve the opening of an account to accept the receipt of funds from Comcast but stipulate the funds are dedicated for the purposes of People TV.
The terms are not in any way favorable to the City, the City Channel or People TV but the community needs to have People TV and the services it provides the community so we must ask you to approve all 4 pieces of legislation.
People TV Community Producers and Supporters - Help Save People TV. Twenty-eight continuous hours of community produced programming to inform the community of the opportunities and services People TV provides all Atlanta residents. After 30 years of public service this free access to cable television is in jeopardy of being eliminated by the City.
