The Living Room
In the summer of 2007 a group of friends started up an emerging church for "people with worts" (there's enough churches for "well put together" people!). We meet in an old church in Grant Park and some of us live at Dwell, an intentional community.

I saw this kinda late... is there going to be a) pastoral care for the congregation, b) counselling and c) a confirmation/ induction process for newbies/children ? (do we have a position on church membership ? ) since the pastoral role is being modified should adequate alternative structures be in place to provide the roles traditionally played by ... Read Morethe pastor ??

As I see it the emergence movement is heavy on the community side but will it have structures to deal with issues of the individual also ?

love the logo! I'd recommend a bit more black under the main section for balance and extending the "legs" down a bit to compensate.

love it! the bottom phrasing does get lost--its too light i think. i would also vote for a more biblical reference...so we have theme verse? a group i was in college used acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” my two cents.

Scott Thigen, a close friend of the community, designed the logo. The tag line that is currently in 1st place is: conversation | community | christ

In small print we won't include the tag line (cuz no one can see it!). But on our sign and want not we'll include the tag line.

We're still open for suggestions of a three word tag line. Got any?
