Adrienne Robertson I'm currently entering my junior year of high school. ( in GA ) I will be taking an AP class this year. Does Auburn have a requirement on how many AP classes high school students need to take? Or are there any reccomendations as to how many I should take to make my application stand-out?

Auburn University Admissions Michelle, as of last week they re-opened housing, and my assumption is that everyone on the waiting list did receive on-campus housing since they are allowing more students to apply. If you are waiting on a dorm assignment, I would advise calling housing and seeing when your letter will be send out or even if they could tell you over the phone where you will be in the Fall. They can be reached at 334.844.4580

Auburn University Admissions Nathan, Our office is not an expert on the MECEP, hence I would advise you to contact the Auburn ROTC department and speak with them about the qualifications and necessary information for attending Auburn through this program. The Navy/Marine Corps can be contacted at 334.844.4364

Auburn University Admissions Sarah, your school counselor can weight your GPA on your official transcript but we can not. We will take whatever the school sends us, weighted or unweighted.

Auburn University Admissions Meghan, For our 2010-2011 scholarships, the ACT and GPA have remained the same, but the SAT have risen to a 1250 for the University/Charter, 1330 for the Founders/Heritage, and 1440 for the Presidential Scholarship.

Auburn University Admissions Dannielle cont...a 2.5 GPA to apply. That's all we look at, nothing from high school will be relevent at that point. If you have any further transfer questions you can contact the Admissions Office at 334.844.6436 and ask to speak with a Transfer Advisor.

Auburn University Admissions Dannielle, given the fact that you are going to take the test again this fall, I would get everything else into us and then when you receive your new scores, you can mail them in. We will not review any file unless it is complete, so if we have your transcript and your application but lacking your test scores, we will wait to make a decision untill we have them. With transfering, all you will need is 32 hours and

Auburn University Admissions Krystal, to complete this required class you could apply and attend Auburn as a non-degree seeking student. I would also advise speaking with the vet school and making sure that this is the best solution for meeting this requirement. They can be reached at 334.844.3696

Thank you SOOOO much!

Auburn University Admissions Quandarious, Applications for Fall 2010 will be available begining August 1st. You can begin sending us your information, but for admission review purposes, we will not consider your file complete and ready for review untill we have your official transcript, test scores, and a completed application with the $40 application fee. If you have any questions feel free to call the admissions office at 334.844.6436

Michelle Batchelor I have heard that there are many students that are still on the waiting list for on campus housing that have not received their assignments. Also, I have heard that there is not enough on campus housing for everyone on the waiting list. Can you tell me when the University is going to give an official cut off and notify everyone?

Nathan I am currently a Lance Corpal in the United States Marine Corps. I have serious questions about applying to Auburn through the MECEP (Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Education Program) program. The program requires that I be an NCO (Corporal) which I should pick up this year. I will be applying to go to school in the fall of 2011, but I have to put the package to qualify in May of 2010, and will not know until December of 2010. I attended Auburn in the fall of 2006, but my grades were horrible (hence the Marine Corps). I made 32 on the ACT in 2005. I would like to know what exactly the application process would be for me (if it differs) and what I need to complete the application process. Also, is Jan-March of 2011 enough time to get into Auburn. Finally, will the grades I made in 2007 affect my GPA if I get acepted?

Sarah Larosche I am an upcoming senior in high school and I plan to apply to Auburn as an Animal Science/Pre-vet major as soon as applications are accepted. I will have about 20 hours of required classes already completed due to AP scores, but how are these accounted for college GPA? Are they just left out of the GPA calculations? Thanks!

Meghan Are the current scholarship standards going to remain the same or will the be updated August 1st with the new application? (Trying to decide if I want to register for the SAT again :/)

Dannielle Roy I'll be starting my senior year in highschool this fall. I also plan on taking the ACT again in either September or October. I'm worried that if I apply in August, I won't get in due to my scores. What happens if they go up after I take it again, but have been rejected already? Also, I might end up having to go to Gadsden State Community College due to money issues. If I were to go there for the first two years, would I be able to transfer to Auburn?
Dannielle at 5:47pm June 24
Oh, And thank you very much!!!!!

Krystal Dailey I am a pre-vet student, and only ONE class that is required of Auburn, Animal Nutrition, is not offered in any community college, including the one I now attend. Would you recommend enrolling as an undergrad student to take this class, and THEN apply to the veterinary school? I would ask my advisor, but unfortunately they aren't doing much in the way of advising here. At least, not that I have seen. I can't get anyone to return a call or email. Thank you!

Quandarious Catlin I just completed my junior year of high school and I only need four more credits to graduate. I havent taken the SAT or ACT tests yet. Can I still send in college applications for early decision even though I havent taken the test and I dont have all my credits yet?

Auburn University Admissions is looking forward to the opening of the fall 2010 undergraduate admissions application on August 1st, 2009! We look forward to receiving your application. Apply by going to www.auburn.edu/apply

I left school nine years ago without finishing my Marketing degree. I only had a few courses left. Could I please have some advice on how to go about trying to complete my degree? Thank you.
Auburn University Admissions at 11:02am June 22
Tracy, to be able to finish your Marketing Degree, the best place for you to begin would be to talk with an academic advisor in our Business School. They will be able to tell you what classes will transfer over, and what you will need to take here to complete your degree. They can be reached at 334.844.4049!

Auburn University Admissions Kristin, let me encourage you to contact the Student Services office in the College of Business. The academic advisors there should be able to offer you insight and give you information based on what you have previously taken in your academic career. They can be reached by calling (334) 844-4049.

Auburn University Admissions John, War Eagle and congratulations on the success you have had in the construction industry. We welcome past AU family members to pursue advanced degrees in and outside of their field. To give you the most accurate information, I would encourage you to contact the College of Architecture, Design and Construction where the Building Science program is located. They can be reached by calling (334) 844-4518.

Auburn University Admissions Morgan, this Facebook page is geared to Undergraduate Admissions and since your question is of a Graduate School nature, I would encourage you to seek advice from the AU Graduate Admissions office. They can be reached by calling (334) 844-4700. Best of luck and War Eagle!

Auburn University Admissions Sarah, you will need to contact one of our transfer admissions advisor to find out about your Calculus class. They can be reached by calling (334) 844-6425. Thanks!

Sarah Hi, I'm doing an article for the Plainsman on this facebook page. If any student is reading this has had a positive experience with AU Admissions as a result of this facebook page, please email me at craftsa@auburn.edu (or message me on facebook). I would love to ask you a few short questions!

Kimberley Thomas I decided to complete my first 2 years at a local community college. Afterwards for which i might turn Auburns way to finish my bachelors with a degree in Communications. Not because of the fact that I am british born, would that cont for minority or not?

Auburn University Admissions Josh, Transfer students are accepted by the Nursing School for their professional program. I would contact the Nursing School and make sure that the courses in your first two years will transfer over and meet the requirements for their program. Attached are some links for Admission Requirements for the professional program. Their number is 334.844.6757
Source: www.nursing.auburn.edu
Professional Curriculum: Students are admitted to the professional nursing curriculum annually in fall semester. Pre-nursing students must formally apply in mid-February to the School of Nursing. Applicants are notified by June 1 of acceptance or non-acceptance. ...

Auburn University Admissions Corey, To be a transfer student, all you need to have is 31 hours, including an English, History, Mathematics, and a Natural Science with a Lab, with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Their are many majors in the college of Business and for the most part, an internship is not required. Only if you are in the MBA program is an intership mandatory. You can reach the Business School at 334.844.5841 with more specifics.

Josh Pike hi, i will be a senior in high school this year and i want to go into nursing. i would like to know if i attended west georgia tech for an associates degree if i could then transfer to auburn and complete my bachelors.

Corey I'm currently a student attending another college in Alabama and I'm considering transferring to Auburn. What are the requirements for a transfer student? Also, I am majoring in business and a big factor in my decision is the availability of internships. What kind of business does Auburn have for students interested in business internships?

Auburn University Admissions Meghan, Auburn can not weight high school GPAs, but your High School Counselor can! We take whatever the counselor sends us on your official HS transcript. But make sure they know to weight it before they send it to us, AP classes DO make a difference. Also, our non-resident academic scholarships begin at a 3.25 GPA and a correlating 1240 on the SAT(out of 1600). For more Scholarship info see link below!

Meghan Does Auburn do some sort of GPA weighting when calculating your GPA? I have a 3.4 unweighted because of some bad freshman year classes, but I've taken 4 APs as a junior (receiving 1 B and 3 A's) and will have taken 4 more by the end of my senior year. I'm afraid that I wouldn't qualify for a freshman non-resident scholarship even though I have the SAT for it...

Mark Condyles Will the questions be the same on the application for 2010?
