Fiona Gillan Went on the Whale & Dolphin Safari last year. We went for miles and saw amzing bird life out there and were thinking ohh well just our luck, no W&D. Then as we headed back just off Tiritiri we spotted Dolphins then a spurt form a Whale. We headed over and the whale lounged around us for ages and the dolphin played their dolphin play for us. So even thou we thought we weren't going to see them, they showed us how wrong we were. Was a great day just being on the water and getting drenched on the front (my form of fun lol). Thanks guys

i was wondering if you do the Whale and dolphin safari on sat and sundays. what do you reckon the chance of seeing whales is at the moment. As i want to do this experience.

Auckland's Whale & Dolphin Safari - We saw heaps of Dolphins out there yesterday folks! at Least 4-5 decent sized pods of them.

Aucklands Whale & Dolphin Safari: With over 40 passengers on board, the Dolphin Explorer headed out for another stunning day on the Hauraki Gulk. Everyone came back after the Safari with wide smiles on their faces, as they had seen plenty of Dolphins and even one Bryde's Whale (after a week's delay!)

Aucklands Whake & Dolphin Safari: We've been having some great weather of late folks! Time to join the rest of Auckland out on the water on these long, hazy summer days.
Our sightings lately have been great! 2 pods of Common Dolphins yesterday and plenty the day before. So get out there and experience the Whale & Dolphin Safari!

Aucklands Whale & Dolphin Safari: We have one busy Waitemata Harbour on our hands at the moment, as we have the Louis VCuitton Pacific Series on. Lets cheer on our boys on the Emirates Team NZ team!
The last few days have yielded some quite random sightings for those on the Whale & Dolphin Explorer - Commons & Bottlenoses, sharks, stingrays etc. With the excellant weather we have had of late, lets hope that these sightings continue to go on the up & up!

Aucklands Whale & Dolphin Safari: Sorry about the delay in posting updates folks!
Over the last few trips we've had some rather good sighting of both Whale & Dolphins. To my knowledge, the last reported viewing that we had of a Whale was last Saturday (17/01/09.) We've seen plenty of Dolphins since then, with the most recent trip (this afternoon's Safari) seeing plenty of Common Dolphins.

Auckland Whale & Dolphin's Safari: We've had a great few days (sighting's wise) over the weekend just gone.
On Saturday we saw a Whale, as well as Dolphins. On Sunday we saw a few Bottlenose dolphins, as well as a rather sizeable shark (species unknown, we only saw the dorsal fin!) On our trip this morning (Monday) we were lucky enough to see penguins & quite a few baby dolphins! Fingers crossed that we are lucky enough to see them on the afternoon Safari!

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the crew for the fab Whale and and Dolphin Safari on the 2nd January that my friend and I went on - saw lots of dolphins and I have to say one of the best things I have done so far. Definately something I would reccomend others visiting Auckland to do.

Aucklands Whale & Dolphin Safari: Upon talking with our Skipper last night, we have learnt that the Safari saw a couple of hundred Dolphins and 1 Whale.
So, we've had some great sightings lately!
