About the... show:

Professor Henry Higgins encounters Eliza Doolittle on the streets of London and makes a wager with a colleague that he can transform the Cockney flower girl into a lady in only three months’ time. This beloved musical (popularized by the 1964 movie starring Rex Harrision and Audrey Hepburn) features classic songs like Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, The Rain In Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night, On The Street Where You Live, and I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face.

About Dann Peterson:

Dann Peterson has directed and acted in educational and community theatre in the Twin Cities area and around the country for the last 40 years. Some of his favorite roles include C.S, Lewis in Shadowlands, Uncle Vanya in Uncle Vanya, Norman in The Dresser, Henry Higgins in both My Fair Lady and Pygmalion, Pickering in My Fair Lady, Dr. Treves in The Elephant Man, Orgon in Tartuffe, Brian in Shadow Box, Michael in Boys in the Band, Frank in Educating Rita, and Major General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance.. He recently played Colbert in Theatre-in-the-Round’s production of Power.

He received his BA and teaching credentials from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and his MA in theatre arts from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He recently retired from 34 years of teaching in the Roseville Area Schools where he was the high school drama director and an English teacher. In addition to his work in educational theatre, Mr. Peterson has worked as actor and director in nearly 100 productions with local theatre companies including Chimera, Edyth Bush, Eastside Theatre, Park Square Theatre, The Refreshment Company, Riverside Theatre, Fifty-Foot Penguin, Heritage Theatre Company, Off-Broadway Musical Theatre, and Theatre-in-the-Round where he serves as a member of the board of directors and a member of the tech advisory board.

Around the country Mr. Peterson has appeared in theatrical productions in Wisconsin, Oberlin, Ohio; Kodiak, Alaska; and in the Chicago area. Mr. Peterson is available as a free-lance director, actor, and voice-over talent.
