Never heard of Roggenbier and small wonder. It was basically banned for 500 years since it uses rye instead of pure water, barley and hops. Wiki says it began again to be brewed in Bavaria in 1988.

Made a point to stop in to Zorbaz, Gull Lake MN, during our fishing trip to get some of the 150th anniversary series #6 - while it's listed on the Schell site as having it, the guy working the bar had no idea what I was talking about! Not a total loss, though, as they had bottles of "Schmaltz's Alt" which we never had before - I love it! I also ... Read Moreloved that I could find 12-packs of Schell Dark galore up here in MN - REALLY hard to get in Omaha NE, and I whish there was a way to get the distribution upped back home!
