AHA has had many good programs and initiatives in the past few years, but support of horse slaughter is something I cannot get behind. Instead how about support of horse rescue or coops for hay production to help those in need. Support of a breed should not stop at show horses only.

Does the Daley Arabian and Godolphin Arabian mean anything to you? Do you really think an Akhal Teke can withstand the stress that race horses are put through? The strength and the speed came from the wind... Arabians were born of the wind. 'Nuff said.

I recently traced my arabian mare all the way back to the desert and some of her ancesters looked like smaller pretty thoroughbreds. One stallion that was used for racing didn't really look all that much like the well loved arabs we have today because of what he was bred for. I don't really have a point here, just thought it was interesting...
