In just its third year, The Fly Fishing Film Tour has become the fishing entertainment event of the year. The Film Tour will be seen in well over 75 cities in 2009 and will showcase some of the best independent outdoor film makers. The goal of the Fly Fishing Film Tour is to energize the industry and inspire film makers to create new cutting edge films to both entertain and educate outdoor enthusiasts. If you are a fishing enthusiast or you are just interested in great outdoor entertainment, you don’t want to miss this show!
Tickets are $15 for adults and can be purchased from Tailwaters Fly Fishing Company at www.tailwatersflyfishing.com, 2416 McKinney Ave or call 1.888.824.5420. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards supporting Project Healing Waters.

Backwoods 115 people...WOW!!! Can you believe that we had a massive crowd of 115 people in the OP store last night for the BWA Show...this is a great show and we have three more stops on the tour. Tonight the show will be in Omaha, NE and tomorrow we will be in Wichita, KS...the last stop is in Austin, TX on Monday. We hope to see you there for all the excitiement and adventure tales of Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu!
Backwoods Wow! Our St. Louis, MO show had a Fantastic crowd last night, thanks to everyone that came to hear Joe's presentation about Kili and Peru. Tonight's show will be in Overland Park, KS at 7pm...We hear that Joe's Father will be in the audience tonight...we hope you can make it as well!! Tomorrow night the show will be in Omaha, NE, before we head south to Wichita, KS.

Introduction to Fly Fishing

9:30am - Noon
Join us at Backwoods to learn the basics of fly fishing. We will cover rods, reels, flys, casting, fly selection, rigging, fishing techniques and more. After we cover basic gear we will move to a lake area to allow you a... chance to put what you have learned into motion. We have limited practice gear so please bring any fly gear you may have, please note that gear is not required to attend this workshop. Be sure to check the weather the day of the event and dress appropriately to be outside.
Ask us about the discounted specials we have on collections of gear to get the first timer started.
This class does not have any size limitations but future more advanced classes will.
You DO NOT need to reserve space. Come one come all!!!
