The 2009 LaRue Tactical 3-Gun match will be held March 28-29 at the world famous training facility, Tiger Valley in Waco, TX. This is a tactical match that will include engaging targets from a static helicopter, 30 foot shoot towers, tunnels, and a shoot-house just to name a few stages.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
We are pleased to announce that Nordic Components will again be our match sponsor. This year’s match is hosted by the Oklahoma City Gun Club and Range. 12 stages of IPSC style Practical Shotgun shooting. Scoring will be Comstock and Virginia count.
General rules regarding conduct ,safety and fair pla...y will follow IPSC Shotgun 2006. New for this year we will be recognizing 4 Divisions: Open, Standard, Standard Manual and Cowboy. We will need at least 5 entries to recognize a division.
Plaques will be awarded for HOA in each division, with a prize table by order of finish.
Match is limited to 120 shooters, Applications are available on the Forms page of this website.
We are working on having food available at the range. Leaving the range for lunch will keep you from finishing your assigned stages.
Stages will range from fast and furious to precise and technical.
MATCH FEE = $100.00. For entries postmarked after March 1st, the match fee will be $150.00.
DIVISION REQUIREMENTS:
OPEN
Capacity restrictions: NONE
Optics, speed loaders, compensators, and porting are allowed.
STANDARD
Capacity restricted to 9 rounds in the gun at the start.
After the start there will be no restrictions on number of rounds loaded.
Porting, speed loaders, optics, and compensators are NOT allowed.
Box fed magazine shotguns that meet these requirements will be placed in this division.
STANDARD MANUAL
Requirements same as above, and shotgun must be manually operated ONLY.
COWBOY
Guns typical of the 1860-1899 period, Replicas or originals are allowed.
Bead or post sights only
Side/Side or Single barrel without automatic ejectors and Single orDouble triggers are allowed.
Lever action, tube fed, exposed hammer shotguns of the period are allowed
The Winchester 1897 Slide action shotgun is allowed provided it is not in Military Configuration. (trench gun)
Capacity is 2 rounds in gun MAX. Bead or Post front sight only
AMMO REQUIREMENTS:
12ga. buckshot MUST have no more than 9 pellets and be 00 buck or 000 buck
20ga, buckshot MUST have no more than 20 pellets and be #3 buck.
(These are common loads available from ammo manufacturers)
MINIMUM AMMO REQUIREMENTS:
Slug-30
Buck-22
Shot-105.
(we suggest you bring twice these amounts)
Be prepared to engage small targets with slugs out to 25yds. Steel knockdown targets with slugs out to 100yds, and know your buckshot pattern out to 40yds. You will have steel knockdown plates with no shoots close by to test your accuracy, and nerve. Also wide open targets to push your speed to the limit. All aspects of practical shotgunning will be tested, reloading, accuracy, speed, and gun handling.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We have had a local FFL volunteer to handle transfers for any items free of charge, So competitors will not be charged a transfer fee.
CompetitionDVD.com has graciously agreed to video the match and produce a top quality DVD of the match. They will be videoing as many shooters as possible so look your best, or at least be memorable!! A coupon will be in the shooters registration pack which will allow purchase of the DVD for half price.
