Support UT alumni filmmaking! Chase Masterson (FIne Arts '85) produced and has the lead in "Yesterday Was a Lie" - a film noir that was listed in the Top 10 Films on the Festival Circuit this year by Film Threat and has received rave reviews.
Los Angeles area alumni can see the film beginning Dec. 11 at the Laemmle Sun...set 5 - the DVD will be released in April 2010. Watch the trailer at the link below.

Tania Leskovar Owens Deborah Morrison - former creative advertising professor selected as ADC GrandMaster! For those in the creative advertising sequence the name should not be a surprise! She will be receiving the award on Monday November 16th at the ADC Gallery on 106 West 29th Street in New York City. The event will take place from 6...-8 PM, check out the link below for more information. I am sure Deborah would enjoy seeing some of her former students at the event and we know we have a lot of advertising alums in the New York Area. Hook 'em!

She grew up in Lufkin, Texas and went to UT-Austin for college. Beard has a degree in Communications. She's been on television many times, including American Idol when she was a semi-finalist on Season 8.

UT College of Communication Support Alumni Authors!! David Woo's (BJ '76), the long-time Dallas Morning News photojournalist, new book "Top Dogs and Their Pets" was released on Monday, November 2. The book, which features 92 portraits of well known business, entertainment and sports figures with their four-footed friends, will be featured in the... 2009 Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog. Stay tuned for book signing events in Austin and Dallas.

UT College of Communication An RTF Soap professional comes home to the UT campus - last month 1981 RTF grad Julie Carruthers spent a day at the College of Communication with RTF grads and undergraduates. Carruthers is the executive producer of "All My Children" on ABC and is currently involved in moving the entire production to Los Angeles.
