"Nakshatra" is a general term referring to the non-moving stars in the sky. Surendraji may have been using the term in this sense. But yes, Virendra, I really would like the developers of this software to put in the Indian Lunar Mansions ("Nakshatras") as a viewing option.

I personally shy away from giving aspects to Rahu and Ketu. Therefore conjunctions from (transiting) Rahu and Ketu as well as conjunctions and aspects to (natal) Rahu and Ketu are means of their activation. Of course, don't forget their dashas and bhuktis

this is an interesting effect of mars being in Pushya nakshatra, health care. but if he would have consulted me first, i think i probably would have advised him to wait a few months, or to have done this a few months earlier. Japanese name for the moon is 大月様("Osukisama") - the "O" at the beginning and "Sama" at the end are honorifics, the actual name is "Suki." (or "Tsuki") Is there a reason, Abella, that you thought it wouldn't be a S name? It's a toss up between a "Ts" and an "S" since Japaense uses it's own alphabet.

This sounds like a modernized school of Vedic astrology. I do not practice that school. I make it a point to try to stick to the most absolute basic essentials as possible in the parashari school of Vedic astrology.

All I can offer is that you should probably consult Sanjay Rath or his followers / students if you are interested in that system. I believe it has something to with him.

I can also say that these Amshas appear that they may be the devatas of the various Nakshatras.

that it is in the 8th house is one indication that it may be dangerous. there are at least a dozen or so other indications that are equally important and must also be checked. As always, charts have to be treated as complete wholes, not broken into tiny chunks.
