For only £3 you will not only be protected from any episodes of paraskavedekatriaphobia by unknown magical forces,... but you will also get to see a blooming good night of fantastical surreal music!
~~~~~Awash with AntleR~~~~~
After just over a year of bashing pots and pans, makeshift drum kits, keyboards and violins, Awash with AntleR are back to grace audiences with their unique musical experience. Their long awaited appearance brings the release of their first EP, which will be on general sale at the gig...
"... a musical space that definitely sounds very much their own...an almost orchestral canvas over which their edgy and sometimes shy vocals, pour strange melodies and descriptive, dramatic dialogues...hugely original." Manchester Music Online
"In short: haunting, lush and magnificent." Mike Reynolds, Sandman Magazine
"I've taken some trippy shit in my time, & they were good shrooms". Finley Quaye
"Wish John Peel were still around. He'd have loved you lot!" Paul Heaton
"... a set that thrilled and spilled off the stage with an urgency and basic desire to create. If necessity is the mother of invention, then I believe that Awash With AntleR are each her daughter." Michelle Dee, thisisUll.com
"Wonderful, amazing & fantastic!" Alan Raw, BBC Introducing
They bring along with them...
~~~~~The Bee's Niece~~~~~
Quirky set-up from Manchester/Oslo... NOT to be missed.
"The Bee's Niece sound does have a childlike naivety, but a closer listen reveals an attractive humour that gives them a charming freshness. Ragnhild’s voice is beautifully tender, while the backing of Hayley’s often off-kilter responses makes for something brilliantly unique. (...) for those willing to contemplate songs about cats and snow and love, there are treats in store."
Chris Long
"Norwegian born Ragnhild Zeigler fronts this delightful group. Though many of the instruments are quite traditional, there is also a place for saw-playing and wine glasses, which is only the start of their quirkiness. The music is acoustic but edges into the experimental. Ragnhild's lyrics are perhaps the most striking part of the songs, often cute little stories, and sometimes almost like a diary or a conversation."

And also...
~~~~~The Romantic Cat's~~~~~
'After close to 7 years of making plans and promising to one day rule the world, the wiley and elusive animal known only as The Romantic Cats is finally here to add sparkle and shine to the music scene! Focusing mainly around the exploits of two fine young gentlemen with guitars, effects pedals, and a little silver box with buttons on it, The Romantic Cats have in just a couple of short months notched up shows with New York's Gregor Samsa and Hexa, Scotland's The Phantom Band and local mainstays The Schoolgirls, MyOneManBand, No Disco! and The Rocky Nest, and have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Despite what your chinese calander may tell you, anyone who has witnessed these boys in action will tell you that 2009 is to be the year of the Cat. Meow.x'
This multi instrumental band actually claim to be from Spurn Point and it wouldn't surprise us to find them lurking in the dunes creating their other-worldly music! Paul Heaton said on their myspace that would have been John Peel's favourite band. We think he's right.'
