BBC Breathing Places slightly glum at having changed our seasonal branding on the website, no more lovely daisies for us - but there is a bright side... What's that I can hear? Autumnwatch tweeting!

BBC Breathing Places Schools are starting their new year and to help them branch out with nature in mind we're helping them learn all about trees! Anyone have any good tree puns? We're unusually low on them at the mo! Leaf us a message if you can think of any! ;p

BBC Breathing Places The Wildlife Trusts' National Marine Week runs from the 1st - 16th August. During this time they'll be running lots of beach and marine related events right across the UK.

It's summer, so why not get out and explore your local beaches and marine habitats. Ditching the bucket and spade and exploring a rockpool instead can be great fun, and you'll be amazed at the wildlife that lives there.

Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside
