The musician with me in my profile picture, Frank Stokes, is a Navajo composer & bassist from Brooklyn, New York. As his biographer I'd like people to help me save his knowledge, so, from my point of view the brilliance of Facebook is how thanks to this little box I have a more effective way of touting a 50+ year American musical story than previous sites afforded me in a whole day of networking.

On the other hand, I know people who have found old friends and family, who they never would have located had it not been for Facebook. I have found an old friend I was trying to locate for many years. Within five minutes of joining Facebook, looking for their name, and sending a message, I had a response. There have been other similar events since I joined, so as in the analog world, social networking mimics society.

You never can tell- people are somewhat more intelligent than animals. But come to think of it most of the characteristics exhibited by the so called "civilized" people move us closer to infidelity. Nudity, vulgarity and indecency all in the name of free world.

Is this really a valid question? Morally it's widely understood that it is not acceptable but if it is a choice between stealing and dying then stealing is the obvious choice. I also think that it shouldn't have to come to that point, but hubris is an often fatal disease.

Lets not confuse 'rights', 'needs' and 'wants'....
No one has a right to steal but they may have a need.
Whether its justified or not has nothing to do with their rights....
