TRACK DAY!!!!!!
The racing season is only 2 months or so away so I'm planning on getting as much practise in as I can in before then. This weekend looks good so I'm going to head out on Sunday unless anyone prefers Sat?

It looks like 2009 will see a full season of scooter racing in the Pacific North West. Brad Coates in Seattle (formerly Vancouver)has been able to convince the NW Mini road racing group http://www.nwmini.net/ to let us run 2 classes during their events for 2009. Their schedule has not been posted yet but should be out in a few days. Most of the racing is in the Portland area at what looks to be some pretty nice tracks (MACK & Park) and this year may see the inclusion of a track in the Seattle area. Judging from their season last year they run 8 races over the year beginning in March. That's 2 months from now so some practice days are definitely in order as soon as the snow melts. The classes are not set yet and will likely be determined by what shows up.
If you are interested and have a running or (close to) bike let us know. Don't worry about rules, classes, equipment or prepping your bike, all of these things we can help out with with very little if any cost.
Cheers,
Dayn

B.C.S.S.O. OK thinking of track day IV. Anyone interested? We have more leathers for people to borrow and room in my garage if anyones scoot needs help to make it out. Also any thoughts on Yahoo Groups vs Proboards vs Facebook to make things more inclusive?

Hey David,
Personally I'm not really set up for the drag racing as I like the turning and all..... however since it is not till June I'll give it some thought.

B.C.S.S.O. Hey Dennis thanks for the plug! I'd be happy to get 3 or 4 people out on a regular basis riding any scooter classic or auto.

Yeah it is tight, best on a small frame. If we can get enough people out with properly prepared scoots we can hit some larger tracks. Until then it is a good track to learn on and a bonus that they will let anyone run with whatever they have and all for just $25 for half a day. This is similar but they have some tech and noise requirements:
