Blane Lyon & The Real
Blane Lyon is speaking his tr......uth music. Political and heartfelt lyrics that are always embraced in a true original funkiness. Based in the Bay Area, he can be found bumping dance clubs with evolutionary electronica, grooving with his original band , The Real or healing hearts with his rootsy acoustic soul. Blane Lyon fluently weaves together many genres producing beautiful musical hybrids with compelling lyrical themes.
Socket
The electric flow of SOCKET's Hammond organ-powered instrumental groove music is firmly grounded in funk and jazz, and charged with a nasty smudge of East Bay grease. Based in Oakland, CA, the band's lineup includes members of the SF Music Award-winning Afrobeat ensemble ALBINO!, and has been a long-term fixture at Bay Area's worthiest groove venues including The Boom Boom Room, Jupiter, and Elbo Room.
Chris DeJohn & Neutral Ground
Funky New Orleans drummer, Chris Dejohn and Nuetral Ground, will be tearin' it up in the style of The Meters, Parliament, Dirty Dozen and Galactic. Chris Dejohn has relocated to San Francisco after tenures with Eric Lindell / Righteous Buddha / The Roebucks / The Black Sound Parade. He has also played and George Porter Jr. (The Meters), Bill Summers (Herbie Hancock), Papa Mali, James Johnson, Anders Osborne, and Kirk Joseph. Nuetral Ground will also feature the greasy grooves of guitarist virtuoso and singer/song-writer Jimmy Leslie

The Boulevards are an awesome groovin' Funk-soul band which delivers a smoking New Orleans Funk-Rock. Originally hailing from the city of New Orleans, Chris Klein has been blending elements of classic and contemporary jazz since his childhood days in the Big Easy. Building on that jazz foundation along with the various street sounds such as funk and soul, he has naturally achieved a virtuoso appeal with Latin flutes, Blues harmonicas, and sultry sax lines.
