Real dogs DO wear coats. Do NOT confuse folks who give their shivering dog a coat during strong weather conditions with "doggiewear fashionistas." That's not to say that coats can't be stylish, though. :) bubcoat.com

If you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string or cloth to take measurements. After each measurement, use a ruler to see how much material you needed.

Jane Cech Cooper after his surgery on his femur.

Cooper is a 9 month old West Highland White Terrier.
His measurement are as follows: Girth = 16 inches and base of neck to base of tail = 16 inches.
Cooper is not a rescue dog but Cooper rescued me! In November I lost my first dog, Bailey, after 8 great years. He died of complications of the esophagus. Then one December... day I was looking through our local newspaper and noticed an ad for Westies. It caught my attention because the ad said they would trade for working guns. I DON'T have any working guns but decided to go and see the puppies anyway. I ended up getting Cooper . . . tell me how can you not get a puppy once you go and see them! Everyday Cooper makes me laugh and smile. He has a great spirit and loves to play! Cooper recently had surgery for a fractured femur. The ball of the femur was removed and hopefully Cooper will be making a full recovery in 4-6 months. We love to walk and could use the coats for those cold Nebraska days.Read More
