Absolutely Melissa and Kirsty. Wrote about the Motrin issue on our blog last year. I found it fascinating. Guess as WOM is very powerful both in business and personal interactions same will apply for social networking and blogging in Friend-Of_Friend recommendations (FOF).

Great article!! As a former Nanny/babysitter I never really gave this much thought as I've always been invited to either share in family meals (even if it's just chicken nuggets with the kids) or to 'help myself'.

If I had kids I would definitely let the babysitter know they could help themselves.

However, that being said, I don't think it's a bad idea for a baby sitter to bring their own meals or snacks either. I wish I had thought of doing that myself!... See More

At the very least I think it's a great idea for the 'first day' with a new family. Just my 2 cents worth.

So true Kirsty and Melissa about many babysitters and parents not giving it much thought but in time (a bit like how in offices the issue of who - staff or management -actually pays for the tea/ coffee / biscuits in the staff kitchen often causes a lot of stife and discussions at HR meetings!) it can be an issue that ends up annoying an otherwise ... See Moreperfectly happy babysitter.
