* Participants must register at the boat-building site in Bading, Butuan City



* Entries should carry the theme - The Building of Butuan's "Balanghai" Boat



* Entries must be original and not previously entered in any other photo contest



* Photos must have been taken at the boat-building site from November, 2009 to December, 2009 from keel-laying to sail testing



* Photos must not be digitally enhanced



* Deadline for submission of entries is on December 31, 2009



* All entries must be accompanied by a "Butuan's Balanghai Boat" Photo Contest Entry Form



* Judging of the entries will be on January 4, 2009



* The decision of the panel of judges will be final and non-appealable



* Awarding of prizes will be at the sail-off ceremonies during the Butuan-Ozamis leg of the "Voyage of the Balangay"

Five (5) Butuanon candidates for crew members of Butuan's "BALANGHAI" Boat will join "Diwata ng Lahi" when the Manila-built balanghai boat will start sailing the Bohol-Butuan leg of the voyage on November 13. The balangay team of "Diwata ng Lahi" will choose who among the Butuanon candidates will become regular and reserve crew members of Butuan's "BALANGHAI" Boat.

Butuan's "BALANGHAI" Boat-Building Project Committee has chosen 5 candidates who will undergo tests and trials on board "Diwata ng Lahi". The Balangay Team headed by Art Valdez will make the final selection for regular and alternate/reserve crew members of Butuan's "BALANGHAI" Boat.
