For the most part Naturopaths use herbal and homeopathic medicines but they may use conventional pharmaceuticals as a last resort. They also have physicians who are trained in chiropractic, acupuncture and other alternative healing techniques. I was fortunate to live in Portland Oregon during the 80s where the original Naturopathic College of the United States is located. I found them at a crucial time in my life and I've only gone back to allopathic doctors when I was forced to by my insurance.
