UMBC Department of Emergency Health Services Dr. Walz represented the department at the dedication of a brick walkway and marker at the Maryland State Police Training Academy in honor of deceased EHS alum Tobin Triebel by his MSP Academy Class #106. The walkway was in recognition of Tobin's dedication to training and fitness. Tobin was struck and killed while jogging on November 7, 2008.
UMBC Department of Emergency Health Services EHS Students and Faculty assist with UMBC H1N1 Flu shot clinic. Plan is to innoculate 5000 students in one day. Junior and senior paramedic students serve as "shooters" and faculty help with ancillary task.
