David Pollack I've been racing since the mid eighties, and woudl love to come build a bamboo bike -- but i'm wondering -- has anyone had any problems with the frames? do they hold up ? If I build it, am i at risk of the frame coming apart on me???

I saw a one-off bamboo bike back in 1979. The guy that built it was an older fellow, & he also made his crash helmet out of bamboo.
Great material. I've told people about it who own bamboo, yet they think I'm not serious.
