Sturgis Library Sturgis Library was excited to welcome the BWB 1st grade classrooms this week! We read a funny story, had a tour of the library, and made a "Tree of Thanks!" Each child made a leaf (out of their own hands) and wrote what they were thankful for on each leaf. It is a pretty amazing tree - stop in and see it for yourself! (Here is a sneak peek!)

Sturgis Library I'd recommend Jonathan Tropper's new book, "This is Where I Leave You." Tropper is "a new breed of novelist who writes for men and women with equal ease and grace." It was dark and funny and touching, and you may recognize a few of your family members in the cast of characters. --lucy

Labor Day by Joyce Maynard is
a surprising book. The story is told through the eyes of 13 year old
Henry so I was expecting a coming-of-age tale, which it is. I also
found it to be suspenseful and at times it threatened to break my
heart. In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the unfolding
story and the view of quirky hearts that triumph.

We had an indoor fire for the first time this season and that gets me
thinking about books to read during the cold weather. I just finished The Forgotten Garden by
Kate Morton. It's a perfect book for a day by the fire, as Booklist says
