Idiots Option

Idiots Option ALPINE SLIDE AND WATER SLIDES ... here is what the associated press said

ATTITASH ALPINE, WATER SLIDES TOP RIDE INJURY LIST
BARTLETT, N.H. -- A review of state records shows more people got injured on the alpine and water slides at the Attitash ski area in the last three years than all of New Hampshire's other carnival and amusement rides combined.

The New Hampshire Sunday News says there were accidents on Attitash's alpine and water slides and on a trampoline attraction. That amounted to nearly 60 percent of all reported accidents."

Idiots Option

Idiots Option ATTITASH ALPINE SLIDE MADE OUT OF ASBESTOS? The question to Attitash was asked if the Alpine Slide was made out of Asbestos, as they attempt to mask over the safety of the Alpine Slide in their post below. I am only to assume that no answer means YES. I will pose the question more directly ....

IS THE ALPINE SLIDE MADE OUT OF ASBESTOS? If so, what does this mean for users, let alone the environmental impact? Are my children safe to ride this?

Dave Kimbal

Dave Kimbal ATTITASH SLIDE MADE OUT OF ASBESTOS?
In a lower post, Kate questioned the safety of the rides at Attitash, and excuse the expression, but she was dead on. What a way for attitash to attempt to cover up the issue by avoiding the truth and attempting to place fault on the user. The accidents at Attitash were not limited to the Alpine Slide, simply check with the state of NH for the reports, they are public record.

There were also complaints regarding the splashdown pools, where people had been sucked up against the water return for the water slides. Also, and please tell me if I am wrong, but aren't the Alpine Slides made out of Asbestos ... How Safe is That?

Come on Attitash, start thinking about the welfare of your guests, for we love the mountain ... just not the risks and the current direction of its operations!

Kate Gram

Kate Gram My husband and I are coming back to the Mount Washington Valley and were planning to go to Attitash, however, after hearing the below article ... I will not take the chance of my children getting hurt. I just wonder how many lawsuits are pending or have been filed regarding those accidents. We will still be coming to the Mount Washington Valley, but will be going to Cranmore's new summer tubing ride and Wildcat's Zip line and Bretton Woods Canopy tour.

All Attractions at Attitash are inspected by the State for safety prior to opening each season. The operators who run the slide also inspect the track daily to provide a safe ride for the over 40,000 sliders per season. This is a ride which is controlled by you the operator, and not by controlled machinery. The same as driving a car or riding a ... Read Morebike, accidents can happen. As you enter the ride, there are very specific safety signs to read before you get on the chairlift to the top of the slide, along with a safety video showing the ride itself, and how to operate it. At the top of the ride, an attendant explains how to operate the sled, and the safest way to enjoy your ride down the track.
Attitash as well as all other rides and attractions in New Hampshire, provide constant training and safety to all employees in order to offer you the best experience possible.

That's all well and fine, however the article wasn't limited to the alpine slide, and also, what are you doing about the slide being made out of asbestos ... or are you just going to skirt that issue also!

Kate Gram IS YOUR CHILD SAFE at ATTITASH?
Attitash ranks as New Hampshire's most dangerous amusement attraction in the state says the Manchester Union Leader newspaper. " The Attitash ski area in Bartlett reported more accidents on its alpine and water slides than all other carnival and amusement rides in the state combined over the past three years, state records show."
