Bas Clas The New Orleans Saints are the Super Bowl Champions. Too bad the band members don't live closer to each other because tonight would be a great night for a Monday Night Madness revival! (donnie)

Bas Clas Sorry to spread the news that Joe "Dr. Feelgood" Burge died suddenly of an apparent heart attack. He was the co-host of the Swamp and Roll Show for 23 years with the inimitable Todd Ortego. KBON lost a star and Acadiana lost a bit of its color and uniqueness with this loss. Condolences to his family, friends and to his... cohorts at KBON. Thanks, for the memories, Dr. Feelgood!

Bas Clas Material was submitted for consideration for inclusion in 2010 for La.'s two largest spring music festivals: Festival International and the Jazz Festival. If any of you know people or have any influence with either festival, a good word on the band's behalf would be greatly appreciated. Other ways to help include: nove...nas, positive thinking, gris-gris, grimoires, talismans, incantations, conjurations and invocations

Bas Clas Chapter and Verse! New versions of the Windows and Mac compatible versions of "Allow Heroic Measures" are now available for free downloading! The biggest change is that each song is now a chapter on the DVD, meaning you can choose the song you want to see and hear in whatever order you want to do so. The 14-page bookle...t of lyrics, credits and blame is available, also.

It's all still free! And will remain so because we're just too damned lazy to figure out the accounting intricacies of paying royalties if you accept money. It's all here:

Knew things went slow up here in the hills, but this is uber- molasses mode:-- says it'll take 1 day and 6 hours. OK, ankle's still broken, and it's raining -- so I'm not going anywhere.

Well, Scott, living down here in Lafayette and using the LUS Fiber network, I was able to upload the two files in about an hour. That's 10 gigs! Screaming fast fiber down here in the Hub City! Lovin' it! — Geek Clas.

Ours must be broomstraw optic. D/l was so slow I finally cancelled, but will do a whole system clean-up, then try it again as only thing happening. What I get in being a woods hermit, I give back when it comes to staying in touch in anything like a timely fashion.

Bas Clas Bad Week in Bas Clas Tech: For those of you who still have not downloaded (or tried to download) the "Allow Heroic Measures" DVD, you won't be able to do it for another day or two. The server has crashed. It will take a day or so to move. Second, the new version of the DVD with chapters for each song has been delayed t...o to problems with the original files. Look for it in a week. — Geek Clas

No, Nancy, these two get attributed to total server crash (on the website) and operator error (on the DVD project). The content has been moved to a new server. Everything should be up and running by the end of day Wednesday. And, good news on the DVD, too. Found a way into the file. Won't have to start from way back. Just have to find the time to get to it. Probably will get done over the weekend. — Geek Clas

Randy Maybe it's just me but after three download attempts I have only been able to download the first 2:30 of "Back To Work".( Great song!). Nothing else seems to be copied. I really can't wait to see this entire show. I was actually there that night , paid a cover and then my friends called from the La Quinta and said that... they weren't coming. Like a fool ,I left! What an idiot! Anyway, I will keep trying and eventually hope to have the whole show that I should have just stayed and enjoyed in the first place! Live and Learn! ( By the way, they are NOT my friends anymore!).Can't wait to see ya'll again. In the mean time, maybe my server will allow me to have the entire show as available.Thanx,Big 'Un

If this doesn't work out maybe I could send you some $ for postage and handling and get it sent by snail mail.Whatever works!Thanx for your efforts.

Bas Clas RIP Kirk Landry of the Dick Nixons. Kirk was a gem, a wry satirist, a lover of history and Louisiana. We enjoyed sharing the stage with his outrageous band. He was buried today in Donaldsonville. (SP)
