Featuring the stunning voice of Carole Gordon with the Blue Jeans Band & singers

A musical celebration featuring all the greatest songs including Yesterday Once More, Goodbye to Love, Close to You, Only Yesterday - hits that every Carpenters fan adores.

Plus great medleys put together from their many album tracks - songs... that link together from The Beatles' Mr Postman, Ticket to Ride and Help, a superb Bacharach and David medley featuring renditions of Do You Know the Way to San Jose and Always Something There to Remind Me - to name but two of these timeless classics.

A Carpenters country medley with Top of the World, Sweet Sweet Smile & Jambalaya will be in great contrast to the sad and perhaps most popular songs on her last and most poignant album Voice Of The Heart.

Theatre Centre presents RIGGED by Ashmeed Sohoye.

I don’t wanna be the hardest man in the smallest town.
I want something more.
Let me slot in the pound coin, push the buttons and watch the wheels spin.
Will I hit the jackpot or are the odds stacked against me?

Nathan has been excluded from school and spends his days in the... gambling arcades. He has been given an ASBO banning him from the town centre, while his girlfriend Sarah has aspirations to continue her education. Their lives change dramatically with the discovery that Sarah is pregnant. Can the two of them escape their dysfunctional families and create a secure life for themselves and their child, or is the system implacably set against them?

A new play by Ashmeed Sohoye about the battle between choices, expectations and breaking free.

Suitable for ages 14 and over.

"Its liveliness and Sohoye's compassionate eye ensure that this always feels like art and not social work. It's given a boost and a heightened reality by Natalie Wilson's neatly designed production, which demonstrates real flair." The Guardian

"Rigged is an immaculately well-written, intensely powerful piece about four interlinked 21st century lives, each in its way as tragic as King Lear." The Stage

Suitable for aged 14 and over. Runs for 60 minutes with no interval.

Icarus Theatre Collective, Original Theatre Company, and Anvil Arts in association with South Hill Park Arts Centre present JOURNEY'S END by R.C. Sheriff.

26 - 30 January, 7.30pm | 28 & 30 Jan, 2pm matinees

Co-Produced & Directed by Alastair Whatley | Produced by Max Lewendel

Starring Graham Seed (from The Archers and lea...d from Midsummer Murders), Adam Best (from Holby City and Waking the Dead) and Christopher Harper

The young, talented and war-weary Captain Stanhope is confronted with the fresh face of his past as an old schoolmate joins his platoon. As the offensive looms ever closer, Stanhope must inspire his men to make the ultimate sacrifice for a war he no longer understands and for a cause he no longer remembers.

This compelling play based on R. C. Sherriff's own experience in the trenches of World War I with its heroism, humour and inevitable tragedy shows courage in the face of uncertain odds. All staged within Stanhope’s claustrophobic dugout, time creeps to a standstill as soldiers await their orders before racing to its heart wrenching climax as these young men face their ‘Journey’s End’.

The team who brought the fantastic Vincent in Brixton to The Haymarket in March 2009, Icarus Theatre Collective and Original Theatre Company are creating a very traditional take on this compelling play, setting the ten-person cast in a realistic Dugout filling the theatre with the sights and sounds of WWI.

Best-known for her legendary one-woman shows, Jo Caulfield is "one of the finest female comics at work" (The Observer) and has recently been nominated as "the best female Stand-Up in the country" (Chortle.co.uk). She is also Graham Norton's head writer.

"She is, quite simply, a damn funny woman" The Scotsman

"Many of the... points Jo Caulfield makes about the human condition would have sociologists stroking their beards in admiration, but her audience tend to be laughing too much to notice. Do not miss her." The Times

"Definitely the rising star of women's comedy. Her mixture of cutthroat wit and wildly accurate observation regularly brings audiences to their knees with laughter." Evening Standard

EXTRA DATE ADDED DUE TO HIGH DEMAND

A heady mix of artistic integrity, loyalty and avarice has put Jimmy back on the road.

If you only see one comedy show this year... what's the matter with you? Get out more.

A ‘rapier' is the long sword of a gentleman.

‘Rapier wit' is defined as clever, quick, intelligent humour.

Please n...ote, Jimmy Carr doesn't have ‘the long sword of a gentleman' and even if you like him, ‘clever, quick and intelligent' is a bit of a stretch.

Suitable for aged 16 and over.
