Bastille Day Festival: A French Celebration in Seattle
The Bal des Pompiers (Firemen’s ball) is a great tradition in France and is part of the celebration for the Bastille Day.
The night before or on Bastille Day, July 14, the firemen of each city and village are hosts of their 'Bal des pompiers' which often includes live music and partying in the streets.
On the main squar...e of any villages, people enjoy great live bands, usually with accordions, and eat, drink and dance with the firemen under the warm summer night sky.
