The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show This is from our home/garden show, "Prime Property" on EATEL Channel 4. You can tell how long Franklin and I have been working together. We get a little silly with sponsor Blane Purpera, Purpera & Sons Lumber. Thanks for having a great sense of humor, Blane! We're still ready for that demonstration! ;)

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show is getting ready to head to the deer woods for Youth Hunt weekend in Mississippi. Let's see if we have everything: 20 pounds of Veron's sausage for jambalaya (CHECK), 5 pounds of Martin's pickled pork for white beans (CHECK). Lots of camo and ammo (CHECK). Let's head to the woods!

The Outdoor Kitchen Show Franklin's oyster shooter (outtake). An oyster shooter is a raw oyster with bloody mary mix, served in a shot glass. It's a lot to swallow, but very good (if you like raw oysters). This one's for you, Nicole!

@ Zak: Let's hope our reps stay strong on that.

@Marie: Absolutely! I've eaten oysters in a lot of restaurants, but these were THE best. Franklin must have eaten at least a dozen of the spinach & artichoke kind! We can't wait to see y'all over Christmas!

The Outdoor Kitchen Show Marissa grills Royal Red shrimp and serves it with Sriracha aioli. Quick and easy! If you thought it couldn't get easier, you haven't seen my 5-minute Satsuma Cheesecake. It only has 4 ingredients. ENJOY!

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show Steven "Buggy" LeMoine brings us tons of Veron's & Martin's sausage, andouille and pickled pork. He cooks fresh green beans with pickled pork (like boneless ham, but not smoked). He also makes Kolaches (pigs in a blanket) with my favorite, Martin's Hot Sausage. It's so easy, Sean shows us how to do it.

Smoke wants to know where he can get those Grand Point green beans and he wants a Veron's hat you are advertising

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show Leroy Laiche shows us his recipe for shrimp & squash. We add a little crabmeat and some hot peppers and knock it out of the park! Capt. Chad Billiot hosts our outdoor segment and hauls in some nice reds and trout out of Golden Meadow.

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show We go to Dr. Gray Bailey's farm in Prairieville and he shows us how he makes egg salad with eggs from his own chickens. A touch of basil pesto makes it rock! For our outdoor segment, Capt. Chad Billiot (The Marsh Rat) takes Jessie & Joey Thompson out trout fishing. The wind is howling but the Marsh Rat has a few tricks up his sleeve for finding the fish.

The Outdoor Kitchen Show We go fishing with Capt. Brent Roy (Venice Charters) and catch tons of trout and redfish. Marissa gets cooking, making bacon-wrapped dates, crab toast and redfish with pesto and wine sauce. Jack LeBlanc (Bounce N' Around) stops by for a visit and gives our viewers a great deal!

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show We show you how to bacon wrap dates stuffed with andouille and cheese. Don't like sweet stuff? Try it with roasted bell peppers - it's fantastic! Then we make crab toast with fresh blue crab and cheese. We also go fishing with Capt. Brent Roy of Venice Charters to catch trout and redfish (which we cook in the 2nd part of the show).

The Outdoor Kitchen Show

The Outdoor Kitchen Show is going to film an alligator cooking segment at Val's Marina in Maurepas to go with our alligator fishing footage from last week. Looking forward to cooking and having fun with Nicole, Brett and Anthony!

I've never seen an alligator cook or fish.

Ha ha! Well, it's easier to teach an alligator to fish than it is to teach one to cook.
