Sarah Christensen

Sarah Christensen also, I would just like to say that my dragon is infatuated with foodball. He will sit and watch it all day. Even after his lights go out he stays up if its on. I wonder if its because he wants a helmet for when he runs into the wall.....

Sarah Christensen

Sarah Christensen when I let hivi out he runs back and forth scratching on the wall all the way through the living room and down the hall!! does anyone else have a 'SPECIAL" dragon?

6 months.. you will be able to tell by looking near the anal area on the legs..if its a male it will have pimple like bumps on the legs.. bottom legs..hope that helps

Males also dig in sand yes
The earlier way for detection is to look just below the anal slit on the tail side if there are two small bumps it is a male, if there is only one bump or none at all it is a female

I have a combination reptile hood from zoomed which has 3 settings a long flourescent tube a day light and a res night lightm, have gone to the store and bought and returned several light systems, the flouro 10.0 uvb and the day 75 watt and the red 60w too hot, what does our lizzard need, he is brand new 4 " long,,,,,..., and has to live.present for my daughter, please help. I know they need several lights, which is why I bougt the light with 3 switches.. after the other one they sold me melted my plastic, thank god were all still alive, but the lizard is really what my daughter wanted since our cat ate her anole last year. I know you need day light, a heat light and a night light, for which we switch the buttons. But I dont know what to do other than have the night light on the same side as the heat light, or red buld, IDK.. he or she is really cute. and I really need to keep everyone happy at all cost. thanxRead More

Yeah, The light the petstore sold me melted mine also! With my dragon inside! I have gotton a million different answers about lighting ect. I have the daylight bulb above food/water dish, Heat at other end and night light in middle. Give him away to get up to the heat if he wants and a place he can hide for shade. I think as long as the temps are ... Read Moregood you are okay. Also, I just did a heating pad along with nightlight because he was getting pretty cold at night even though the temp was around 65.
Spring mix is better than romaine.Celery, iceburg lettuce not really good idea. You want dark leafy greens. Bok choy, chard, escarole, mustard greens, collard ect. Carrots and sweet potatoes once in awhile. Main source should be crickets and roaches with calcium and vitamin supplement. Mealworms, wax worms and butterworms are all ok too but dont really have nutrional value.

I agree with everything Sarah has said
You do not need a night light, Beardies can see infrared red and it disrupts their sleep. They are fine with room temp at night.
You want to have 100-110f on their basking rock which should be 10-12" away while keeping the coldest corner of the terrarium at 70f
The srtraight flourescent tube provides the best ... Read Moreslow release UVB/UVA your Dragon needs. Repti-Sun 10.0 makes the best bulb.
If you live in the US you can also purchase heat tape which comes in different widths can be connected to a dimmer switch via sodering iron and can maintain an even temp inside your enclosure without endangering the health of your Dragon through the use of "heat rocks" Dragons sense heat through the top of their heads and are unable to sense heat from below. There are many cases where snakes and Dragons have been critically burned through the use of heat rocks

I found a 24hr vet emerg, she had a proclaps of her lower intestin, my option was to have them try to stick everything in and sew it up so she would heal from the inside and the swelling would go down, but the vet said its a possiblity it would happen again. Two or three weeks ago she had a small proclaps but I had nurs...ed her a week and she got better,it was back to normal. Now with this again happening again this time worse,I just couldn't let her suffer... So I had to say goodbye to her, Im so sad :( right now. Im going to miss her soo much. The problem is, that Hagen makes every dealer agreee on a minimum pricing. This is why you don't find them for cheap. I would still argue they are worth the price. I do own two PT2614 and I love them. I bought mine both online, I would recommend herphut.org

Adon 'Don' Lingad Has anyone bought a leash for their BD? I bought one but didn't really get a chance to put it on him yet. I'd say he's about 3-4 months now. Maybe I'll just wait til he gets a lil bigger.

Our 8 month old has a leash. We only use it when we are holding him on us, just in case he runs away too fast. We finally found one that didn't strangle him. He doesn't seem to mind it too much.

My 3 or 4 month old bearded dragon has been having multiple seizures
over the last few days and they seem to be triggered when I put him
away in his cage for the night they start. Like it is triggered by
being alone. I know that they are usually related to calcium or
paracites but he eats fluckers gut loaded crickets plus ...bearded dragon
vitamins from ´´zilla´´ so I don´t think that would be the reason. I
don´t exactly have access to a vet im backpacking with my dragon and he
has been compleatly fine up until the weather started to get colder and
cloudier. Which could also be a trigger they strange thing is they seem
to be triggered by being left alone. Please respond soon we need you
help.
