Beerenberg Okay, it looks like first week of November for the opening of pick own strawberries this year. It's a late season due to all the rain we've had. The strawberries will still be perfect, just late. Keep an eye on our patch updates for more info. Sally.

Beerenberg Also... click into the Strawberry Patch sign and register your email address so we can send you a quick message letting you know when the strawberry season has opened.

Beerenberg Interested in picking your own strawberries? Check the new feature on our website. There's a ‘Strawberry Patch’ sign at the top right of each web page. Here we’ll post daily updates on how many strawberries are ripe for picking and what the weather conditions are. Yep, the patch is closed right now, but stay tuned because strawberry season is only a couple of weeks away. Sally Paech (PS Hi Mandy!)

Beerenberg The very first strawberry for the season! Anthony took this photo with his phone, so the quality isn't the best (sorry Anthony). Too early for pick your own, but the season should start mid October. We'll keep you posted. Sally.

Beerenberg They say that “one swallow does not make a summer” so I shouldn't get too excited – but the first flowers on the strawberry plants give me hope that this long southern winter is finally coming to an end.

We are expecting these little flowers to start turning into red strawberries usually about the 12th of October. This little guy in the photo is premature! Cheers, Anthony.

Beerenberg Oops. In a continual effort to improve our products, I'm afraid that we didn't improve a recent batch of marmalade. We decided early this year to switch from white sugar to raw because raw is more natural. It also makes our jam darker. This is OK except f

Beerenberg Hi Everyone, I'm going to post my blogs on Facebook now as well as on our website. After a long flight back from the USA, I am finally back at my desk. I've just spent a week in New York at a food exhibition. Beerenberg has some great opportunities over there and we can't wait to make the most of them. Cheers, Anthony Paech

There are a few people out there picking strawberries this morning, despite the grey skies. There's much needed rain forecast for tomorrow and the weekend, so here's hoping.

As the strawberry season draws near, it's a good idea to call us on (08) 8388 7272 before coming up to pick, just to check we've got plenty of str...awberries still. At this stage it looks like the season will last until mid-May.Read More
